This event offers an opportunity to connect with other parents in a supportive environment while gaining valuable insights into educational advocacy. This presentation's content will be based on feedback from attendees answers to the topics that they would like to hear about. This is an interactive event!

Who: Open to everyone

 

What: Bring your lunch and join us for a monthly series exploring books, films, and other media related to the autism spectrum. Each session features a short presentation followed by an open discussion. The November 14th discussion will focus on Tina Belcher of Bob's Burgers and the Autistic Female Representation in Animation.

8 am -12 pm

Where: Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT

Who: Drivers and passengers with autism. Drivers must have a current license, car, registration, and insurance. Support persons are welcome to attend.

What: The lights and sounds of a traffic stop can feel overwhelming, especially for someone with autism. This friendly, low-stress event gives participants a chance to practice what happens during a traffic stop in a calm, predictable setting. It’s a safe way to meet officers, ask questions, and feel more comfortable and better prepared for future interactions with officers.
